Liturgy and Music
Hi, I’m Ruth Sanders! Originally from New Hampshire, I arrived in Delaware by way of Pennsylvania and Texas. My husband Jack and I raised our youngest sons, Matt and Adam, here in Delaware and we’ve been blessed to be part of the Resurrection faith community for more than 25 years.
I journeyed through careers in music education, as well as public relations and advertising to what I believe is my real calling – helping to build up the Kingdom of God through prayer and music. I’ve been on staff at Resurrection for 10 years as Coordinator of Liturgy and Music. I find it truly a blessing and privilege to serve in a faith community that values liturgy and liturgical music so highly -- that desires to gather as community to know the presence of Christ -- that participates so fully in its liturgical celebrations through joys and sorrows, good times, bad times and everything in between.
I’m pleased to be included among the musicians at Resurrection – as cantor, psalmist, music group leader and sometimes choir conductor. In my spare time I sing with a great chamber choir, CoroAllegro, and play piano. I also love to read and always, always look forward to any time I can spend with family and friends.
Cory Z says I practically live here at Resurrection. So stop by and visit me! I’d love to meet you.
