In difficult times we most need community. So, whether in church or not, please pray for one another. Please keep in touch by phone or email, especially with the people with whom you usually talk before or after Mass. But in light of the spread of the novel coronavirus, the staff of Resurrection Parish send these comments:
The Diocese of Wilmington has set up a section of its website with up-to-date information: www.cdow.org/coronavirus . A Sunday Mass will be posted on that website each week. No public Masses are celebrated at this time.. Bishop Malooly has dispensed all Catholics from the obligation to attend Mass.
Fr. Bill and Fr. Greg will visit the sick upon request. Regular visits to hospitals and nursing homes are restricted, if not suspended.
Please know that the Resurrection clergy and staff are available to talk with you, if desired, or if you have questions.
Let us pray for the health of one another, our local community and people throughout the world. In Christ,
Fr. Bill Graney
Pope Francis Prayer
O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus' pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
