Stewardship Update
Members of the Resurrection Faith Community,
After Communion during Mass on Sunday, November 7, representing the Finance Council of Pastoral Council, I shared the annual stewardship message for those in attendance. We also want to share that message with the entirety of our Faith Community through the bulletin, weekly newsletter and website through this message and the charts that served as the foundation for our discussion.
There are two key messages about the Parish's financial condition that we want to make sure we convey:
1) the Parish is in very good financial condition even after the challenges posed by the effects of Covid-19.
2) Fr. Greg, Fr. Bill, Resurrection Staff, and members of the Pastoral Council and Finance Council are profoundly grateful to all Members of the Resurrection Faith Community who so willingly and generously share their time, talents and treasure with the Parish. It is because of you and through you and your efforts that Resurrection is vibrantly living out its mission.
Please feel free to connect with me via email (chip@resurrectionde.org) if you have any questions or comments. Again, thank you so very much for being the prayerful, dedicated and generous people who you are. Peace,
Chip Schussler
Executive Officer
Resurrection Finance Council

When you hear the word stewardship in Church, you might start bracing yourself for the appeal of money that usually follows! But good stewardship is about much more. It means being faithful to your relationship with the One who has entrusted you with all the riches in your life - your talents, health, and energy, your loved ones and livelihood. Stewardship at root is a relationship with God and the People of God seen in the local Church. We could provide over fifty links to the verses in the bible that relate to stewardship and your spirituality as a Christian.
Resurrection Ministries, including
are very successful because of your generosity and commitment, both with time and talent as well as treasure.
Your generous giving funds all our programs. It is with your donations that we can continue to build and offer programs as well as maintain our home.
As parish we have a challenging mission. We need to be balanced: at times patient, and at times moving with a sense of urgency. Again as the Bible suggests, we are a mixture of wheat and weeds. Simultaneously, we are saint and sinner. Facing the tension of being both, we can be open to hear the good news with open hearts. We are a mixture of yeast and flour. The kingdom of God will grow. As stewards, we bring from the treasure the old and the new in building up the kingdom. May God be praised through our individual lives and parish life.
Your bank can help you stay up-to-date with your offertory or make a single contribution.
All banks offer an automatic giving feature through their on-line platform.
It’s as simple as identifying the church as a vendor/company, including the address & telephone number within the bill pay section of the banking site.
This feature directs your bank to mail a check directly to the parish. There are no fees for you or the parish. It saves paper and eliminates postage, and automatically follows your instructions until those instructions are changed.
Consider mailing in your offertory gifts to the parish—checks only; please do not mail cash.
The document below mail be downlowned and mailed to set up electronic contributions.
