Fair Trade CoffeeTea, and Chocolate sales are held several times a year in the Gathering Space. This provides a route for small farmers in developing countries to sell their coffee, tea, and chocolate at a price that allows them to feed and support their families. Family Promise prevents and ends homelessness for families with children. Among 4 programs are 2 shelters that keep families together. The rotational hospitality shelter is hosted for 1 week, 4 times, per year by Ebenezer UMC and Resurrection. Up to 4 families are hosted with needs for volunteers to share dinner, visit, drive the van, sleep over and provide supplies. Sign up genius link available certain weeks. Food Closet Ministrycollects non-perishable food to support the Mill Creek Outreach Project located at Community of Christ Church on Milltown Rd. Needs are published in the bulletin and delivered weekly to the food closet. https://tableofplentyde.org/
Friendship Houseunites people facing homelessness with loving, supportive communities they can call home. Volunteers can find opportunities to serve a meal at a shelter, sort clothes at the Clothing Bank, or help people find jobs at Empowerment Centers. Meals On Wheelsdelivers meals and brings warmth to homebound seniors during the lunch hour, Mondays thru Fridays. It takes two volunteers to support our route of 20 clients per day, one week each month. Resurrection provides five teams, so each team serves one day per month. More volunteers are always welcome, and substitutes can be trained to be an “occasional” volunteer (if one of the “regulars” have a conflict.) Contact Yvette Drazich [email protected]
Care/Visits for the Sick, Elderly, Lonely and/or Bereaved:
Visits:Volunteers can visithospitals, nursing and rehab facilities, or the homes of parishioners temporarily unable to attend Mass, or provide rides to Mass or to doctor appointments. Opportunities also exist for Eucharistic ministers to bring Holy Communion to elderly or ill persons. Contact the Resurrection Parish office at 302-368-0146.

Grow a Row:In spring and summer, food is grown at a large community garden at Resurrection, and shared with community food closets.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets: Assist over 50 families by providing food for Thanksgiving dinners for clients of: Friendship House, Christina School District and Family Promise.
Annual Benefit Concert to Fight Human Trafficking: An annual concert by talented young performers to raise funds to benefit organization that works to prevent human trafficking and rescue and restore victims. Contact Kate Regan, 302-738-9989, [email protected]
Jesus House: provides sacred space and programs for those seeking spiritual growth and community. Volunteers are needed for website management and to serve meals at occasional retreats. Contact Jesus House main office at 302-995-6859.

Zingos Receipts: Zingos cash register receipts are collected in the Zingo box on the table near the nursery. In exchange for receipts Zingos donates money to support the food closet.
